eHealth Evaluation Tool

eHealth has emerged as an  important tool for improving health care delivery and effectiveness. Evaluation of eHealth programs is necessary for better understanding of factors related to eHealth and the stages of application that they are most likely to influence.

This eHealth evaluation tool was to develop based on a comprehensive conceptual eHealth Evaluation Framework named Khoja-Durrani-Scott (KDS) which included relevant theories for evaluating use of technology in different stages of eHealth programs.

This tool offers a comprehensive platform for evaluating the health projects and programs using Information and Communication Technology. The tool contains questions regarding health, technology, economic, readiness and change management, social and cultural, ethical, and policy outcomes of an eHealth program measured at various stages of any eHealth program/project i.e. development, Implementation, Integration and sustained operation. The tool is also further divided into three categories to be filled by Managers, Staff and Clients.

This tool provides the range of areas that are part of health programs, and get affected by or influence eHealth interventions. eHealth evaluation for any Health program should not be limited to health outcomes or economic analysis, but should cover all themes identified in the KDS tool.
